It is essential
for students have access to UWA's campus information
technology resources to participate fully in the university's academic
and social environment. While UWA provides several venues of on-campus computer access, it is strongly recommended that each student own or have access to a computer
capable of linking to UWA's electronic infrastructure to take full advantage of
UWA's e-Campus initiative.
As
an assistance to students intending to purchase a personal computer, the Information Systems Department
has formed a strategic partnership with Dell Computer Corporation to provide desktop and
notebook computers specifically configured for use at
UWA. We have chosen Dell because they provide quality products and outstanding customer support. We recommend that you consider purchasing notebooks or desktops
from this company.
To order a system from Dell, please review the
UWA recommended minimum specifications for
desktop and laptop
systems. If you have questions regarding Dell products, refer to the Dell website
or call 1-888-987-3355 (Member ID:US10885251) to speak with a Dell Higher Education Account Representative.
If you have any questions regarding information
technology on the UWA campus, please call the Information Systems Department
locally at (205) 652-3565 or in-state at 1-800-621-7742 ext 3565 or out-of-state at 1-800-621-8044 ext 3565.
