SSL Client Instructions

You must create a workorder at http://helpdesk.uwa.edu requesting VPN program access.  You will receive a confirmation when access has been granted.

 

On your PC at work, either go to Control Panel>System or right click on “My Computer” on your desktop and select “Properties”.

Once the “System Properties” window loads, select the “Computer Name” tab.  Write down your computer’s “Full computer name:”

Select the “Remote” tab. Make sure there is a check in the “Allow users to connect remotely to this computer” check box. Click OK

 

 

This completes the steps for your work PC.


 

 

On your home PC, make sure you are connected to the internet.

Browse to http://infosys.uwa.edu/secure. Download and install the Cisco AnyConnect Client.  This is a one-time install.

After you install the program, open the client (located under Start Menu>All Programs>Cisco>Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client) and type “vpn.uwa.edu” into the “Connect to:” field. Click Select.

Enter your UWA credentials and click connect.

Once connected you should see this icon in the notification area by the clock display:


 

 

 

Go to Start Menu>All Programs>Accessories>Remote Desktop Connection (this  program might be located under the communications folder;  you can also go to Start Menu>Run and enter mstsc.exe)

Enter your machine name in the “Computer:” field and click connect. You should then be able to log onto your UWA computer.
