SSL Client Instructions
You
must create a workorder at
http://helpdesk.uwa.edu
requesting VPN program access. You
will receive a confirmation when access
has been granted.

On your PC at work, either go to Control
Panel>System or right click on “My Computer” on your desktop and
select “Properties”. |

Once the “System Properties” window loads,
select the “Computer Name” tab. Write down your computer’s
“Full computer name:” |

Select the “Remote” tab. Make sure there is
a check in the “Allow users to connect remotely to this
computer” check box. Click OK |

This
completes the steps for your work PC.
On your home PC, make sure you are connected to the
internet.
Browse to
http://infosys.uwa.edu/secure. Download and install the Cisco
AnyConnect Client. This is a one-time install.
After you install the program, open the client
(located under Start Menu>All Programs>Cisco>Cisco AnyConnect VPN
Client) and type “vpn.uwa.edu” into the
“Connect to:” field. Click Select.
Enter your UWA credentials and click connect.

Once connected you should see this icon in the
notification area by the clock display:

Go to Start Menu>All Programs>Accessories>Remote
Desktop Connection (this program might be located under the
communications folder; you can also go to Start Menu>Run and enter
mstsc.exe)

Enter your machine name in the “Computer:” field
and click connect. You should then be able to log onto your UWA
computer.
