TigerNet email information
for configuring email on mobile phones

Due to the number of cell phone models available on the market today, we cannot produce specific documentation for every model.  However, we can provide some UWA specific information that should help you in configuring your cell phone for accessing your UWA email.  While accessing your UWA email is possible, these instructions are offered “as is” and no official UWA support is available at the current time.

UWA utilizes a “Microsoft Exchange 2007” server allowing access via Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and Microsoft Direct Push technology.  UWA does not allow access to email via IMAP or POP3.

Server Address (OWA Address):                               https://exchange.uwa.edu

Domain Name:                  “uwa.edu”     or    “uwa”

A secure connection (SSL) must be used to connect.

Some commonly used examples in setting up connectivity:

Email Address:                 johndoe@uwa.edu

Username:                         johndoe

Domain\Username:        uwa\johndoe

Domain:                               uwa.edu

Server Name:                    exchange.uwa.edu     or

https://exchange.uwa.edu

Use SSL:                               Yes

UWA does not have a Blackberry Enterprise Server. AT&T allows their Blackberry users to access Microsoft Exchange accounts at http://www.mycingular.blackberry.com/ ; please contact AT&T for support on this website. Also, UWA does not offer POP3 , IMAP, or SMTP connections.
