UWA has installed an on-campus wireless
network system in the following locations: Reed Hall, Hoover Apartments,
Speith Hall, Selden Hall, Stickney
Hall, Sisk Hall, Patterson Apartments, the Student Union Building (SUB),
the Library, Webb Hall, Bibb Graves Hall, Pruitt Hall, Jim Homer Field
House, Young Hall (cafeteria), Guy Hunt Technology Complex, Brock
Hall, Wallace Hall and the Armory (Police Station). Locations not yet covered by wireless include, Foust Hall
and Moon Hall.
The major benefits of wireless technology
over traditional hard wiring connection are convenience and faster
connection speeds. If you have a laptop computer, you can use your
computer to connect to the campus network in any of the buildings with the
wireless access.
